The client aimed to build an integrated communication and emergency alert platform to manage safety teams, coordinate real-time responses, and enhance organizational readiness. The goal was to develop a solution that allowed admins to control teams and emergencies centrally, while mobile users could receive, respond, and communicate during critical incidents — all within a secure and user-friendly environment.
Admin can create users with email, team codes, and assign them to safety or non-safety teams.
Supports group creation with multiple members for coordinated communication.
Role-based access ensures admins and users have defined permissions.
Supports five emergency types: Drill, Advisory, Emergency, Practice, and Documentation.
Automated alarm triggers for Drill, Advisory, and Emergency; silent modes for others.
Real-time notification system for all team members on alert creation and updates.
Users create alerts with emergency type, alert type, location, and additional documents.
The system allows uploading PDFs, building layouts, and notes for detailed context.
Team members receive instant push notifications and can update or acknowledge alerts.
Drag-and-drop location selection using map pins.
Displays the user’s current and emergency locations visually.
Admin updates reflect instantly for all connected users.
Centralized “Training” tab with PDFs and videos uploaded by admin.
Users can mark materials as Completed; auto-moves to the Completed list.
Promotes continuous safety education and readiness tracking.

Integrated Google Maps API with drag-and-drop pins, auto-location detection, and admin-triggered updates to ensure accurate and fast map rendering for every alert.
Supporting multiple chat levels — team-wide, one-on-one, and group — while maintaining real-time communication was technically challenging.
Integrated Socket.io for live chat with room-based architecture, enabling seamless messaging across safety and non-safety teams with filtering, group editing, and media sharing support.
