Challenges & Solutions
Customers wanted to explore items from different international e-commerce sites (US & Europe), but since most vendors didn’t ship to their countries, there was no unified way to browse. Without structure, the shopping experience risked being slow and confusing.
We integrated Google Programmable Search Engine, allowing Tojarcom to pull product listings from multiple vendor websites into one searchable interface. This gave customers a familiar “online marketplace” feel, even though the products came from third-party sites.
Once a vendor shipped an item, customers had little to no visibility on the order’s journey. This created anxiety around delivery times, delays, and lost shipments.
Tojarcom integrated the DHL API, which generates Air Waybill (AWB) numbers for each package. Customers could now track their orders in real-time across different shipment stages, from warehouse dispatch to final delivery.
Pulling order details (order number, shipping info, delivery status) from external vendor systems was a major hurdle, as every vendor had different formats and limited data-sharing.
Implemented the Slice API, which bridges Tojarcom with vendor platforms to fetch order and shipping details automatically. This eliminated manual entry, reduced errors, and kept customers updated on their order status.
Cross-border shopping includes multiple hidden charges — international shipping, taxes, customs duties, clearance fees. Customers often felt surprised or frustrated when final costs exceeded expectations.
We built a cost-calculation workflow where Purchase Officers (POs) calculate six pricing components (base price, handling, shipping, international tax, customs, clearance fees). Customers receive a clear cost breakdown upfront, creating trust and preventing disputes.
The business involved multiple roles — CSRs, Purchase Officers, Warehouse staff, Logistic Officers, Delivery Boys, and Accounting Officers. Without proper coordination or efficient eCommerce development solutions, orders risked delays, miscommunication, or lost items.
Tojarcom implemented a role-based system with dedicated dashboards and notifications for each actor. Every order flows step-by-step across roles, ensuring smooth handovers and full accountability.
