Structuring three event visibility models while maintaining a smooth user experience was complex. Each type required distinct access and approval logic.
Designed a modular event system that dynamically assigns permissions based on event type. Admin and host roles were synced to maintain control and ensure data consistency across all user flows.
Balancing admin oversight with user freedom required careful design to prevent misuse without limiting engagement.
Implemented a tiered permission system allowing admins to monitor, approve, or restrict users/events in real time — ensuring safety while retaining user autonomy.
Keeping chats, notifications, and event updates in sync across mobile and web platforms caused data delays.
Integrated Socket.io for real-time messaging and push alerts, ensuring all event-related updates reflect instantly across devices without lag or duplication.
Managing contact synchronization across different devices and platforms was difficult due to privacy constraints and data format inconsistencies. Users faced delays in discovering which of their contacts were already on the platform.
Implemented a secure contact-sync mechanism using phone number hashing and background synchronization. This allowed the app to identify existing users without exposing raw contact data, ensuring fast and privacy-compliant user discovery.
